We get questions and (hopefully) we
provide answers:
Q: What kind of suit
does my swimmer need?
A: Almost any suit will
do for practice. A suit made of polyester
will hold up the best to chlorine. Boys can
wear jammers or briefs; board shorts are not
allowed. Girls should wear a one piece
racing style suit. Generally a Team suit is
chosen every two years in the fall. A team
cap should be worn to all swim meets.
Q: What type of
equipment do I need when I become a Bulldog?
A: Swimmers at the
Bulldog and Senior Bulldog levels need to
have the following equipment: mesh bag,
snorkel, extra small hand paddles (no bigger
than the hand), small pull buoy, extra pair
of goggles, and extra swim cap.
Different Strokes, in Livonia at Seven
Mile and Middlebelt Roads, carry these items
as well as caps, kick boards, swim bags, and
water shoes. (Consider some kind of foot
covering to avoid plantar warts as long as
possible.)
Q: How do I buy some of
the cool BAC Clothing?
A: Throughout the year
BAC shirts are designed then a bulk order is
placed to reduce overall expenses. BAC
shirts help us identify each other at swim
meets and when we work our Winterfest and
Summer Challenge meets. Use this
order form. Place your order by October
14th.
Also during Championship seasons, March
and July, special BAC T's are made
available.
